The Importance of Joining a Mountain Biking Association
Having a passion for mountain biking is quite a self-fulfillment because of the fact that not all riders and bikers share the same passion with you. But that should not stop there. There is a need for you to find people who share the same passion as you do and you can find this by joining a mountain biking association. There is a lot of mountain biking association worldwide but the most known one is the International Mountain Bicycling Association. This is the mother of all the mountain biking association worldwide. The International Mountain Bicycling Association was founded year 1988, by five Golden State California mountain bikers club following threats of widespread terrain and trail closures in the state of California. The five founding clubs of the International Mountain Bicycling Association were: Concerned Off road Bicyclists Association, Bicycles Trails Council East Bay, Bicycle Trails Council Marin, and the Sacramento Rough Riders and Responsible Organized Mountain Pedalers. This mountain biking association has grown over the years and has maintained its name with practical campaigns in helping preserve terrains and trails for mountain bikers. Furthermore, they are the very first organization that promotes advocacy in keeping trails open in almost all mountain biking locations worldwide. As the years pass by, they have totally expanded, adding a consulting center for trail solutions, offering professional consulting programs on trail services ranging from trail planning and trail designing. Because of its advocacy to further promote off-road cycling, this mounting biking association works in collaboration with the US federal government as well as with the Congress of the US, with three other agencies; the US Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and the National Park Service. The International Mountain Bicycling Association also helps small time and local mountain biking associations. They sometimes provide financial supports, advocacy and maintenance of trails, together with other corporate supporters. A concrete example is the New England Mountain bike association, a kind of recreational trail that advocates on riding on the best trails around the world. Most of its members are from the New England. Accordingly, the International Mountain Bicycling Association has helped this group in its mission of properly preserving the outdoors, while at the same time educating and teaching the mountain biking community regarding the importance of biking responsibly.
